Launching of the four ways test to schools

THE FOUR-WAY TEST

of the things we think, say or do

Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu is organising an exciting competition based on the above title. The particulars are as follow;

1. The competition is open to all current students of SM La Salle, SM St Francis Convent, SM All Saint, SM Lok Yuk and Sabah College.

2. The format of the competition is simple, the students can submit their entry in any mediums, ie. Essays, videos, artworks, songs, etc. based on their understanding of the following Rotary philosophy:

The four way test

i. Is it the TRUTH?

ii. Is it Fair to all concerned?

iii. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

iv. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

All submissions must be in reasonable length ie. Essays – 500 words, videos – 1-3 minutes etc.

For abstract submission eg. Painting, a short write up shall be submitted along for brief description of the work.

3. The judging criterion shall be based upon understanding of the concept, impact of the entry and creativity of the presentation.

4. All entries must submitted via the school respective Interact Club teacher advisor before or on 20th of February, 2011.

5. All decisions are final.

6. The prizes for the winners are as follow;

i. Winner - A spot in RCKK Youth Friendship Exchange Program, fully sponsored with choice of destination ( on shortlisted places to be determined later), RM500 cash and certificate.

ii. 1st Runner-up - RM300 cash and certificate.

iii. 2nd Runner-up- RM100 cash and certificate.

iv. Certificates to all participants.

The response from the school was overwhelming with more than 100 entries for the competition. Some of the essays can be viewed by the Four Ways test.
