January 2010
· Setting up of our Interact Club’s blog and Facebook account
This was suggested by the Rotarians during our previous meeting as this would make it easier for them to keep tabs on our club’s activities and communicate directly with the Interactors.
· Intake of new Interact Club members (Form 4)
As there were only 25 slots available, the Board of Directors had an interview session for the Form Four students. A total of 40 students showed up for the interview.
· Sales during the school’s Sports’ Day
The sales included various items from Spaghetti to Ice Blended Milo to Head bands and overall, it was a success as we managed to sell everything. Our total profit was approximately RM 600.
February 2010
· Visit an orphanage
We are in talks of visiting an orphanage around Sabah and donate the necessities that they require. We might be donating books, building a book rack, organise several games and have lunch with the children.
March 2010
· Photography competition
Our club is planning to organise a photography competition which can be participated by other schools and will be using the theme related to the Rotary Club’s theme i.e. The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands, Make Dreams Real. This competition is to encourage students to explore their understanding towards the theme and improve their photography skills.
· Advanced RYLA in Singapore
This event is the first of its kind in District 3310 and is attended by any student who has attended RYLA before. There is a possibility that our club will be sending some Interactors.
April 2010
· Bakat Convent
This will held at an interschool level in order to select representatives from our school to compete in Bakat Interact.
· Bakat Interact
This is an annual competition held as a platform for students from various schools to showcase their talents. It will tentatively be held on the 11th of April 2010.
May 2010
· International Understanding Day Bazaar
This is one of the biggest event held annually which is participated by various Interact Clubs in efforts to expose students to another country’s culture and traditions as well as foster mutual understanding among the clubs. It will tentatively be held on the 20th of June 2010. As it is a big event, , our club will start our preparations in April.
June 2010
· Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2010
RYLA this year would be held in Miri, Sarawak. However, our club’s participation has not yet been confirmed as there is a possibility that it might clash with our examination preparations and other competitions.

Italian Rotarian parents of a former Rotary Youth Exchange student spend time with the family who hosted their son in Thailand. Rotarian pediatricians from Ghana travel to Germany to stay with doctors there.
Experiences like these happen all the time through Rotary Friendship Exchange, Rotary’s international exchange program for Rotarians and their families. Participants experience other cultures and build friendships by staying in the homes of Rotary club members in another country. This program advances international understanding and peace through personal contact across borders while developing interclub relationships that lead to fellowship and service projects.

How it works
Types of Friendship Exchanges
Visitor program Individual Rotarians, who may be accompanied by family members, spend a few days in a Rotarian’s home abroad.
Team program Rotarian couples (typically four to six) visit several communities in a host district for up to one month.
Univocational Rotarians of the same occupation observe how their job is done in other countries.
Guidelines
Only Rotarians and their immediate families are eligible for the visitor program, and participation in the team program is limited to Rotarians and their spouses.
Spouses or children must always be accompanied by Rotarians on an exchange.
Rotarians interested in participating must apply through their club president. Not every district participates in Friendship Exchange, so prospective applicants should ask their club president about the program.
District governors from participating districts appoint a district Friendship Exchange chair, who is responsible for coordinating exchanges through a list of chairs from around the world. E-mail mailto:friendshipexchange@rotary.orgto identify your district chair.

A FABULOUS SUNDAY
10 JANUARY 2010.......Jungle Trekking to Kiasom Waterfal with RCKK President Frankie Fu, Rotarians and family.
We all gathered at Mayang Sari Cafe for breakfast fellowship at 930am. Our Rotaractor led by Resident Laura, Randy IPP and their Rotaractors and friends were all excited for the trip. Rotarian Dr. Ravi and Amrullah were also having fellowship with us.
At 1015pm we departed and only took us 20 minutes we arrived at the Kiasom waterfall park. After a short briefing and bought some last minutes snack we commenced our trekking. The first stretch of journey was an up hill climb. We did stopped for a few times for rest knowing all of us were "city lau". But the young ladies were full of energy and "no sweat" for them. After the huffing and puffing through the trail, we finally arrived at the Waterfall. It was an amazing fall 2 tiers of about 60 feet height. PP Datuk Vincent Pung and family finally caught up with us from behind as they started late. We had sumptuous grill and boil seafood and many snack brought by first lady Mary and the Rotarians. We also had good fellowship with each other over a physio therapy in the waterfall. The Children also enjoyed themselves playing in the stream and found all the funny insects in it such as the river bug or water boatman insect. All of us did enjoyed the trip and we hope in the distance future we will be organised another adventure trip like this nature and do hope next time even more will join us..
Present were : President Frankie and family, Rtn Pual Thien, Rtn Jack Lo and family, Alfred Sii and family, PP Datuk Vincent Pung and family, President of Rotaract Luara, Rotaractor Alex, Rotaractor Randy, Rotaractor , and friends.
